About Dr. Bri Newland
Dr. Bri Newland is Interim Dean of the College of Business at UCCS, having joined in August 2024 as Associate Dean overseeing enrollment strategy, program operations, and supporting AACSB accreditation. She previously spent seven years at New York University, serving as Assistant Dean of the Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies and Academic Director of the Tisch Institute for Global Sport, where she rebuilt curricula, restructured degree programs, and managed multi-million-dollar budgets. A highly active scholar and sport management leader, she has served as Editor-in-Chief of Sport Marketing Quarterly and held multiple leadership roles with the North American Society for Sport Management, including Interim Executive Director and President. With 20 years of progressive leadership across Victoria University (Australia), the University of Delaware, NYU, and UCCS, Bri brings a collaborative, people-first approach to her work. Based in Colorado Springs, she enjoys hiking, running, and spending time outdoors with her partner and dog.
