All degree proposals must include a pro-forma. Request guidance and a pro-forma budget template from Terri Wagner in the UCCS Budget Office at twagner@uccs.edu.

The procedure for developing and approving new certificates is outlined in UCCS Campus Certificate Policy (200-023). For certificates that meet the criteria for financial aid / Gainful Employment, additional procedures are described in CU System Policy APS 1040 

At the CU System level, new financial aid eligible / Gainful Employment certificates must be approved by the Chancellor and the University Affairs Committee of the Board of Regents before they are sent to the full Board of Regents for their approval. Note that public meetings of the full Board of Regents are held only five times each year, usually February, April, June, September and November, and meetings of the University Affairs Committee are scheduled approximately one month before these meetings. 

Proposals must receive Board of Regents approval no later than February to meet catalog deadlines for upcoming Fall and Spring semesters. Please note that timelines may vary and failure to submit a complete application will result in delays or denials of processing.
